Consider a Legacy Gift to ARIT

For many aspiring academics, an ARIT fellowship has been the launch of  a successful academic career. An interest in the history and archaeology of Anatolia and the ancient Near East, or a lecture about recent excavations in Turkey may inspire a student or amateur to travel to Turkey or participate in a field project.  Engaging in ARIT’s local programs – attending a lecture or joining in an education tour, becomes a route to exchanges with local researchers and other interested visitors.

Donors who remember ARIT in their Will perpetuate their own legacy and link it to future generations of scholars at the Institute.  Bequests and other planned gifts ensure that ARIT will continue in its mission to support research and exchanges in Turkey.  Unrestricted contributions enable ARIT to apply your gift wherever it is most needed.  You may also direct your support toward specific funding goals such as fellowships, library development, or the ARIT endowment fund.

Just about everyone has the ability to create a legacy gift. There are many forms that are easy to set up, such as remembering a charity in a will or living trust; naming a charity as a beneficiary of a checking, savings or pension account; making life-income arrangements; and donating to the endowment.  All of these forms of legacy giving offer a powerful for you to create a philanthropic legacy for your family.  A meaningful way to shape the future, legacy giving to ARIT is especially effective because you will help the Institute achieve long-term financial stability and sustainability.  Above all, you will ensure that ARIT can continue supporting advanced research and exchanges in Turkey for generations to come.
