ARIT ISTANBUL CENTER

The ARIT Istanbul office and library are located in the Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.  The ARIT Istanbul center provides study and meeting spaces, specialized research libraries, and internet access.  The ARIT Istanbul staff develop lectures and programs that are open to visiting and local scholars.

The main ARIT-Istanbul library, at ANAMED, contains 10,500 monograph titles, and covers the Byzantine, Ottoman, and modern Turkish periods.  It also includes the library of Dr. H. Kenneth Snipes which offers a strong collection for study of the Byzantine era.

ARIT ISTANBUL ANNEX

A separate annex houses the library of the American Board of Commissioners of Foreign Missions including journals and publications of the American Board, and the office of the Friends of ARIT.
